CONFIRMED: Liverpool vs City – Salah Starts

The Reds are making their first appearance in the Community Shield for 13 years. Liverpool has won the Charity/Community Shield on 10 occasions and has shared it a further five times.

Mohamed Salah starts as Liverpool and Manchester City meet in the FA Community Shield to kick off the 2019-20 season today.

Sadio Mane will not feature at Wembley with the forward not scheduled to return to Melwood until Monday 5 August, following his successful Africa Cup of Nations campaign with Senegal.

Salah and Roberto Firmino also had busy summers with Egypt and Brazil respectively, but both start in attack after featuring in the victory over Lyon in Geneva on Wednesday.
